Samsung’s leaked Qi2 wireless powerbank offers a 5,000 mAh capacity for a steep price

The Galaxy S25 series supported Qi 2, so you’ll need a magnetic wireless charger to use it with Qi-compatible accessories like power banks and wallets. However, this may not be the case with the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, which is rumored to be fully Qi-compatible.

All S26 phones are expected to have a built-in (circular) magnetic base under the back cover, allowing for convenient and secure connection with external Qi-enabled accessories.

A price of $70.22 for a 5,000mAh wireless charger is considered hefty

Now, a new report from the German magazine WinFuture suggests that Samsung may release its EB-U2500 magnetic wireless charger alongside the Galaxy S26 series as an official Qi-compatible accessory.

The magazine claims to have published the first official images of the EB-U2500 wireless charger. It’s said to have a total capacity of 5,000 mAh and delivers 15W of power via Qi2 (slower than the newer Qi 2.2 standard or MagSafe charging technology, both of which deliver 25W).

Using the included USB-C to USB-C cable, the battery provides 20W of power. It also supports USB Power Delivery (PD) and Qualcomm Quick Charge (QC). Therefore, you can use the power bank with smartphones that are compatible with Qi2, USB PD, or QC standards.

As for the device’s design, it appears to have a warm white or light gray color with a textured surface. On the front, there’s the company logo, a metal stand, and five LED indicators for the battery level.

There’s a power button on the bottom right of the frame, and a circular magnetic ring on the back that attaches to the back of a Galaxy S26 (or Galaxy S25 with a magnetic charging case).

In Germany, Samsung’s new 5000mAh magnetic wireless power bank may be priced at €59.90 (approximately $70.22 at the current exchange rate), a relatively high price considering its overall capacity.

For comparison, the Anker Nano power bank (5000mAh, Qi2 compatible) is available on Amazon for $54.99. The same company also sells the 10000mAh MagGo power bank with Qi2 for $79.99.

Despite the higher retail price, the report confirms the presence of Qi2 charging in the Galaxy S26 series, as well as the availability of an official accessory for charging their phones on the go.
